The face mask prevents droplets from the wearer from reaching the air when exhaling, speaking, sneezing or coughing and thus other people can be infected. The mask also prevents touching the mouth and nose with possibly contaminated hands. Our face mask can thus reduce the risk of pathogens entering the body through the mucous membranes.
