Kleverles practice hint:

PLCVCom does not display the S5-LAN++-module when searching, although it can be pinged:
Search with the virtual COM-port "PLCVCom" for possible modules in your network. Some S5-LAN++-modules are displayed, but not all. However, S5-LAN-Manager finds all modules, each of which is also configurable.
Remedy:
Use of current version of "PLCVCom". Older versions filter feedback from the modules according to MAC-addresses and therefore do not display all of the modules in the network.

Kleverles practice hint:

Existing communication via S7-LAN; any other participant who wants to use this connection does not come ONLINE (he alone is OK):
This further and additional communication with the other participant regarding to the connected bus is a further connection with the S7-PLC. The number and type of connections can be specified in the hardware-configuration of the S7-PLCs. Connections to the PLC can be established until the specified maximum number is reached (depending on the type), this is no longer built up for each further step. If other connections are closed, others are possible again.
Remedy:
Revise and change the hardware-configuration of the S7-PLC with regard to the communication-channels and transfer it into the PLC.

Kleverles practice hint:

Diagnosis of the TIC reports "Connection to S7-LAN/MPI-LAN/S7-USB/MPI-USB/MPI-II failed" although ping goes to the S7-LAN module:
The diagnostic-function of the TIC reports during the connection-test that no connection could be established. A ping to the IP-address of the module can be successfully sent. The module's website can also be opened. The module is in the same subnet as the PC, but ONLINE-access to the connected PLC is not possible.
Remedy:
In the properties of the TIC driver, check whether this S7 LAN module is actually entered as a connection partner in the "PC - local connection" block. Not that the IP-address of another module is entered or that a USB-interface-product such as MPI-II/USB-cable or S7-USB-module is entered as the device type.

Kleverles practice hint:

S7-panel on S5-LAN++, Variables copied from the project, no data from the PLC:
You have parameterized your S7 panel regarding to connection and variables, but do not receive any data from the S5-controller in RunTime or with the panel itself. Apparently there is no error or incorrect parameterization, is not evident. The data itself are copied from a working project.
Remedy:
Delete the variable-definition completely and create new variables by hand. It is very likely that the copied parameterization-data contained data/links that were not displayed in the configuration tool. By deleting the data-structures are reset and thus correctly created when a new entry is made.
