S7-LAN connector for Siemens S7 PLC controller - Process Informatik Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH

S7-LAN connector for Siemens S7 PLC controller

Novelty:
Variant with integrated access-protection LAN <=> bus-side as well as output of diagnostic-buffer in web-site

Networking of SIMATIC S7-PLCs (S7-200/300/400) without Ethernet-CP/CP-communicationprocessor standard-TCP/IP without changes to the hardware-configuration or PLC-program.
Compact and robust Ethernet-converter (MPI / PROFIBUS / PPI - Ethernet).
Similar to "IBH Link S7++" (IBH-Link-S7-PP, 20266), "NETLink PRO Compact", "ACCON-NetLink-PRO compact" or "NL 50-MPI".
Integration of the "old system" into the world of "new and modern systems" using S7-TCPIP with PUT/GET function.
By plugging the module onto the PPI, MPI or Profibus, this connection becomes an Ethernet port for the Industrial IoT with significant cost savings.
Thanks to the integrated multiplexer, this connection becomes a port for all supported protocols. Simultaneous and parallel communications such as WinCC, PUT/GET from S7 PLC, production-data acquisition, S7-communication-drivers and programming-packages such as Step7, TIA Portal or PG2000.

TIC-(Totally Integrated Communication)-driver for Step7/TIA-Portal for Win XP/VISTA/7/8/10/11 32/64 Bit:
TIC firmware / configuration-tool / Step7-/TIA-driver

Product overview:

S7-LAN is a reliable and handy S7-network-adapter for PPI-,MPI- and PROFIBUS. Designed for 24/7-operation. The compact design in the PROFIBUS-connector-case and the power supply directly from the MPI/DP-port of the CPU allow to be connected a PLC to the network in less than 3 minutes.
bus protocols/bus profile, incl. baudrate and HSA are recognized independently and automatically and configured.
HMI-devices, for e.g. actual panel-series, as well as any other S7-Ethernet device, direct connect per S7-TCP-IP.
With TIC-driver (configurations-tool and driver) from download-area without changes on the project of Siemens TIA, Simatic Step7 Manager and WinCC-projects communication.
Another advantage is the easy handling of the S7-LAN. The convenient configuration is carried out directly in STEP7 or the PG/PC-interface-dialog. The detection of whether the S7-LAN is connected to a 10 MBit or 100 MBit network takes place automatically. Power is supplied directly from the MPI / DP interface. The connection to passive participants or VIPA-PLC is possible via the integrated 24V-plug.
The S7-LAN is connected to the bus-socket of the PLC and via the hub or directly to the PC. Then install the TIC-driver on the PC. Assign the IP-address with the TIC-configuration-program and go ONLINE. The installation process is completed so quickly.

Configuration:

S7-LAN is designed for quick commissioning. After the module has been plugged into the bus or externally supplied with 24V DC, only an IP address is assigned via the TIC-driver or directly via the Web-interface . The controllers can then be accessed from the network.
With the TIC-driver, there is no need for any additional installation outside of the Siemens world. The configuration takes place directly in the PG-PC interface settings and is therefore optimally integrated. Any network device that speaks S7-TCP/IP RFC1006, such as HMI-devices or PGs, can access the module directly.
In the S7-project itself, the adapter can be integrated using a placeholder entry. This is not a must, operation without project change is possible immediately. The S7-communication runs directly via S7-TCP/IP and expands each MPI-/PROFIBUS with a network gateway. It doesn't matter which control types (S7-200 / S7-300 / S7-400) are connected to the fieldbus of the PLC network.
