New from firmware version V1.08:
One IP-address for WIFI- and PLC-communication, the device itself recognizes which part of the device you want to access. A very simple thing, no address confusion with different IP-addresses.
Convince yourself of the new and simple functionality. Download the new firmware via the download tab and after the update has been completed, trigger the factory setting in the BRIDGE-interface, the device can now be reached via 192.168.1.56.

STEP-7 / TIA / WIN-CC / MICROWIN:
Each network device that speaks RFC1006 S7-TCP/IP, such as HMI devices or PGs can access the module directly.
The adapter can be integrated in the S7 project itself, but does not have to be, so operation is possible without changing the project .
The S7 communication runs directly via S7 TCP/IP and expands every MPI bus/PROFIBUS by a S5 network gateway.
It does not matter which control types, S7-200 / S7-300 / S7-400 , hang in the fieldbus PLC network.

MPI/DP communication between two S7-300/400 controllers on the same bus
- a control is relocated spatially:
2x S7-LAN with activated X_PUT/X_GET module, the data is transported between the modules via the network.
- a control is replaced by a PN control:
1x S7-LAN with activated X_PUT/X_GET module and the received-data are transferred automatically to the configured PN-PLC via PUT/GET.
Running global-data-communication between MPI-PLCs (S7-300/400), is one of these PLCs replaced with
a newer PLC with network-interface (S7-1200/1500), this PLC was not able to access this data.
Simply configure the global-data of the “old” PLC via the web-server in the S7-LAN-module. Enter the
new PLC as a TCPIP-connection-partner and the module writes/reads the data via PUT/GET from this
network-PLC and passes it on as before.
Networking of all S7-controllers (S7-200/300/400), for example with your production-data-acquisition, Industry 4.0 (OPC Server UA or Classic), panels and other
devices that communicate via S7-TCPIP RFC1006. One module for all bus-types: PPI, MPI and Profibus.
Even the very old "S7-200" with a pure PPI-protocol can be used, regardless of the firmware version!
View information from the connected bus-system in plain text without using the Simatic-Manager or TIA-Portal. With the connection-menu
you get the list of reachable nodes, marked in color whether it is an "active bus-participant", is a "candidate for inclusion in the bus" or a "passive bus-participant".
You can also see whether cyclic bus-parameter-protocols have been received, you are "in the bus" yourself, the bus-address of the participant recognized as a
"direct participant" (on which the S7-LAN is located) and whether the contained modules such as "variable control", "gateway-coupling",... actively communicate.

S7-PLC with PPI, MPI, Profibus connection, but data should be read/written via network?
Ethernet-CP cannot be used because of the effort (hardware-configuration), price, space in the rack, availability. Plug S7-LAN-module/MPI-LAN-cable
into a free bus-connector, assign the IP-address and the PLC can be reached via the network. There is no need to invest any more effort. The adapter
can be parameterized via an integrated web-server or a configuration-tool. No changes to the S7-PLC are necessary to operate the adapter.
The adapter can also be used to implement PUT/GET-connections to other controls, but the PLC-program must be changed for this. Other PLCs can just
as well read/write data from this controller via PUT/GET; nothing needs to be changed in the PLC program.
Automation very easy: Connect, parameterize and work.
