What is OPC-UA??
OPC-UA (Unified Architecture) is the further development of the OPC-Data-Access (DA)-protocol. Unlike DA, UA allows communication between different operating-systems and networks.

• OPC-UA represents the "de facto standard" for Industry 4.0
• With OPC-UA the process data exchange can be realized via firewall and Internet with secured data connection
• OPC-UA uses conceptually secure-data-transmission (SSL). The application-layer itself can be protected by user/password or by certificates
• OPC-UA is platform independent (Windows/Linux/Embedded)
