Functionality / use

The framework enables direct data exchange with the SIMATIC S7 via TCP / IP. All SIMATIC-S7 PLC types, be it with Ethernet OnBoard (PN) or additional CP. To connect to the PLC, only the IP address and slot of the CPU in the rack are required.
No additional PLC program is necessary!
Optimized access to the PLC data with the least traffic
By combining several read / write jobs, the communication bandwidth to the PLC is fully utilized, so that any data area of the PLC can be read / written in one go. The framework carries out the optimization independently. The optimal PDU size of the PLC is used.

example:

The PlcDeviceConnection Class handles communication across all data types

Access to the S7 data types is automated via the PlcValue object

Settings for access to the S7-1500 and S7-1200

To access the S7-1500 and S7-1200, the optimized block access must be deactivated for the data block attributes.

PUT / GET access must also be activated in the communication setting. You can see how this works here (snapshot from TIA Portal).
