Ethernetmodule for PPI/MPI/Profibus
Novelty:Variant with integrated access-protection LAN <=> bus-side as well as output of diagnostic-buffer in web-site
Networking of SIMATIC S7-PLCs (S7-200/300/400) without Ethernet-CP/CP-communicationprocessor standard-TCP/IP without changes to the hardware-configuration or PLC-program.
Compact and robust Ethernet-converter (MPI / PROFIBUS / PPI - Ethernet).
Similar to "IBH Link S7++" (IBH-Link-S7-PP, 20266), "NETLink PRO Compact", "ACCON-NetLink-PRO compact" or "NL 50-MPI".
Integration of the "old system" into the world of "new and modern systems" using S7-TCPIP with PUT/GET function.
By plugging the module onto the PPI, MPI or Profibus, this connection becomes an Ethernet port for the Industrial IoT with significant cost savings.
Thanks to the integrated multiplexer, this connection becomes a port for all supported protocols. Simultaneous and parallel communications such as WinCC, PUT/GET from S7 PLC, production-data acquisition, S7-communication-drivers and programming-packages such as Step7, TIA Portal or PG2000.

Variant with integrated access-protection LAN <=> bus-side as well as output of diagnostic-buffer in web-site
Advantages:
- Simple and fast networking
- Multiplexer for all protocols
- Integration as S7 controller with CP 343-1
- Access to S7 data via S7-TCP/IP with PUT/GET
- Module search without "annoying" network-card-selection
- Free virtual-com-port for non-Step7-applications
- Qualified support
- Comprehensive documentation
- No SimaticNet required for operation/configuration
- STEP7 64-bit support
- Integration into the TIA-Portal
- Supports DHCP
Connectivity:
- S7-LAN module directly connected to the PC/device with a patch cable
- S7-LAN module directly connected to the PC/device with a crosslink cable
- S7-LAN connected to the PC/device via a switch or hub
Features:
- S7-Panel (for e.g. KTP, TP, Unified Panel) on S7-200 (1. generation), S7-300, S7-400
- every SIMATIC-S7 (S7-200/300/400) into Network
- SIMATIC S7-protocols (S7Comm and ISO-on-TCP (RFC 1006))
- Ethernet-RJ45 socket with 10/100 MBit/s with autonegotiation
- Commissioning is very simple: plug it into the PPI, MPI-bus or PROFIBUS of the SIMATIC S7 controller and start working
- Integrated multiplexer (visualization, programming, remote maintenance and simultaneous use of all protocols without special configuration), also via standard router
- Parallel use of the channels (simultaneously 8 x channels for programming, visualization and remote maintenance can be used directly/routed)
- Supported controllers (S7-200, S7-300, S7-400, FM modules, Sinamix, Sinumerik, MicroMaster and other drives/converters (such as SEW-EURODRIVE converters)
- Supported data areas (inputs, outputs, markers, data blocks, timers and counters)
- Supported scenarios (programming adapter for S7 programming packages, access to the S7 data via S7-TCP/IP with PUT/GET and routing of SIMATIC S7 controllers as well as time server for time and also bus diagnostics)
- Supported platforms (S7-TCPIP RFC1006 communication platform-independent, communication driver/configuration tool TIC for Windows XP, Win7/8/10/11)
- Replacement for CP343-1/443-1 or IE/PB-Link, connected directly to MPI or Profibus (inexpensive)
- with Profibus for S7-300 faster than CP343-1
- PG/PC-adapter for Simatic-Manager Step7 and TIA-portal
- fastest installation into Network (less than 3 minutes)
- automatic detection of baudrate
- automatic usement of cyclic bus-parameter-protocols
- no bus-knowledge required / automatic-protocol and baud-rate detection
- download TIC-driver for STEP-7/TIA-Portal
- Programming and visualization at the same time (8 S7-connections (direct / routed) at the same time)
- compatible to S7-TCP/IP RFC1006, WinCC (flex), OPC UA with Universal communication Industry 4.0, the IP-S7LINK SDK as well as all common OPC-servers
- no HW-Config change necessary
- no change of PLC-software necessary
- including Classic OPC-DA-Server-lite (max. 100 variables)
- with PG-diagnostic-port (occupied slot with 9pin PG-port free again)
- DPV1-master of class 2 and supports all functions that a PG supports:
- Diagnosis, configuration and programming of controllers (via software such as Simatic-Manager, TIA-Portal)
- Diagnosis and configuration of DP-slaves (via software such as Starter)
- active module, no influencing other bus users in the system
- active PUT/GET (in module integrated) replaces expensive CP´s for PLC-couplings
- Supply from S7-PLC or 24V DC external

TIC-(Totally Integrated Communication)-driver for Step7/TIA-Portal for Win XP/VISTA/7/8/10/11 32/64 Bit:
TIC firmware / configuration-tool / Step7-/TIA-driver
Product overview:
S7-LAN is a reliable and handy S7-network-adapter for PPI-,MPI- and PROFIBUS. Designed for 24/7-operation. The compact design in the PROFIBUS-connector-case and the power supply directly from the MPI/DP-port of the CPU allow to be connected a PLC to the network in less than 3 minutes.bus protocols/bus profile, incl. baudrate and HSA are recognized independently and automatically and configured.
HMI-devices, for e.g. actual panel-series, as well as any other S7-Ethernet device, direct connect per S7-TCP-IP.
With TIC-driver (configurations-tool and driver) from download-area without changes on the project of Siemens TIA, Simatic Step7 Manager and WinCC-projects communication.
Another advantage is the easy handling of the S7-LAN. The convenient configuration is carried out directly in STEP7 or the PG/PC-interface-dialog. The detection of whether the S7-LAN is connected to a 10 MBit or 100 MBit network takes place automatically. Power is supplied directly from the MPI / DP interface. The connection to passive participants or VIPA-PLC is possible via the integrated 24V-plug.
The S7-LAN is connected to the bus-socket of the PLC and via the hub or directly to the PC. Then install the TIC-driver on the PC. Assign the IP-address with the TIC-configuration-program and go ONLINE. The installation process is completed so quickly.
Configuration:
S7-LAN is designed for quick commissioning. After the module has been plugged into the bus or externally supplied with 24V DC, only an IP address is assigned via the TIC-driver or directly via the Web-interface . The controllers can then be accessed from the network. With the TIC-driver, there is no need for any additional installation outside of the Siemens world. The configuration takes place directly in the PG-PC interface settings and is therefore optimally integrated. Any network device that speaks S7-TCP/IP RFC1006, such as HMI-devices or PGs, can access the module directly.
In the S7-project itself, the adapter can be integrated using a placeholder entry. This is not a must, operation without project change is possible immediately. The S7-communication runs directly via S7-TCP/IP and expands each MPI-/PROFIBUS with a network gateway. It doesn't matter which control types (S7-200 / S7-300 / S7-400) are connected to the fieldbus of the PLC network.
MPI/DP communication between two S7-300/400 controllers on the same bus
- a control is relocated spatially:
2x S7-LAN with activated X_PUT/X_GET module, the data is transported between the modules via the network.
- a control is replaced by a PN control:
1x S7-LAN with activated X_PUT/X_GET module and the received-data are transferred automatically to the configured PN-PLC via PUT/GET.
Running global-data-communication between MPI-PLCs (S7-300/400), is one of these PLCs replaced with
a newer PLC with network-interface (S7-1200/1500), this PLC was not able to access this data.
Simply configure the global-data of the “old” PLC via the web-server in the S7-LAN-module. Enter the
new PLC as a TCPIP-connection-partner and the module writes/reads the data via PUT/GET from this
network-PLC and passes it on as before.
Networking of all S7-controllers (S7-200/300/400), for example with your production-data-acquisition, Industry 4.0 (OPC Server UA or Classic), panels and other
devices that communicate via S7-TCPIP RFC1006. One module for all bus-types: PPI, MPI and Profibus.
Even the very old "S7-200" with a pure PPI-protocol can be used, regardless of the firmware version!
View information from the connected bus-system in plain text without using the Simatic-Manager or TIA-Portal. With the connection-menu
you get the list of reachable nodes, marked in color whether it is an "active bus-participant", is a "candidate for inclusion in the bus" or a "passive bus-participant".
You can also see whether cyclic bus-parameter-protocols have been received, you are "in the bus" yourself, the bus-address of the participant recognized as a
"direct participant" (on which the S7-LAN is located) and whether the contained modules such as "variable control", "gateway-coupling",... actively communicate.
Direct data-exchange between S7-PLCs with S7-LAN.
Thanks to active PUT/GET directly in the module without superordinate head control!
Transfer data directly from one MPI/Profibus-PLC to another.
Bus independent! MPI-bus <--> Profibus / Profibus <--> Profibus / MPI-bus <--> MPI-bus
Pair your S7 directly with your S5, thanks to the active PUT/GET in the S7-LAN no problem.
Each MPI/Profibus-CPU exchanges data directly without using a CP.
No head-control or changes in the S5-PLC needed.

S7-PLC with PPI, MPI, Profibus connection, but data should be read/written via network?
Ethernet-CP cannot be used because of the effort (hardware-configuration), price, space in the rack, availability. Plug S7-LAN-module/MPI-LAN-cable
into a free bus-connector, assign the IP-address and the PLC can be reached via the network. There is no need to invest any more effort. The adapter
can be parameterized via an integrated web-server or a configuration-tool. No changes to the S7-PLC are necessary to operate the adapter.
The adapter can also be used to implement PUT/GET-connections to other controls, but the PLC-program must be changed for this. Other PLCs can just
as well read/write data from this controller via PUT/GET; nothing needs to be changed in the PLC program.
Automation very easy: Connect, parameterize and work.
Your’re right in the middle of your production line and and should move around the machine and simultaneously observe / manage. No problem, you parameterize the ALF, connect to the S7-LAN and connect to the WIFI-network of the ALF and are ONLINE on the PLC.
